Hi! I'm Aaron Ferrell otherwise know as AA-ron (it's from a Key and Peele comedy skit), and I am starting this website to act as a collection of my thoughts, ideas, and notes about cyber security, art, and life in general.

I am the CoOwner/President of DotSlash Security LLC, and an Active Duty Air Force Cyber Warfare Operator. My duties include testing remote access tools and techniques, identifying vulnerabilities to attack communications networks and systems and developing countermeasures. I research, implement, configure and sustain computer network security solutions (e.g. encryption, firewalls, anti-virus rule sets, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.)

I have over 16+ years of experience in IT and communications systems. My experience encompasses 4 years of Radio and SATCOM technician and operations, 3+ years AFCERT (Air Force Computer Emergency Team) for over 800k+ endpoints, and 7+ years of Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO). I lead a team of 15 of the nation's top cyber experts as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the cyber HUNT mission for the National Security Agency (NSA). I am currently Instructing the future Offensive Cyber Operators for the Air Force. I have been protecting our Nation's computer information networks and providing offensive and defensive solutions to national level problems.

I believe in being professional, honest and transparent. I currently hold Bachelor or Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and certifications in: CEH, A+, Net+, Sec+, ITIL Foundations, Website Security, Web Application Security, GCIH, and accomplished trainings in GPEN, GXPEN, CISSP and constantly continue my education through hands on experience and industry leading education avenues.
